first time in a swing

I was talking with a first time mom (Sarah Rieke) and she commented that one of the best things about having a new little one is that they are seeing the world for the first time.  How exciting and what a great reminder to slow down.  I watch the wonder in my little boy's face at completing the most simple of tasks. He shakes with excitement and concentration when reaching for a toy.
This picture is of his first time in a park swing.
I think he liked it.

prom night

I hope to use this blog to show some of the photography work I have done.
I will eventually post a price list and seasonal specials.
Anna is great to work with.
She is lovely and has a genuine smile. Love that girl. Love that she took her bro to the prom.

we have chicks

Our chicks have arrived. They began their struggle, to break free from their shells, the day we lost power. We have Therma Care heating pads and Grandma Sharla to thank for their survival.

Going without power for even one day was a reminder to be thankful and of how dependent we are on electricity these days.

The van was a warn spot.

A little science for you:
Chicks incubate for 21 days and need the temperature to stay around 99.5 degrees.
We have four chicks total now. All from eggs Grandma Sharla gave us before her roosters found a new home.

pic of the day

Love that baby boy.
I am a big fan of pics of the day.
If you visit me often you just might see a little of what I see every day.
My nephew (aka chad flood) asked the other day if I saw life in pictures and I do.
I see the moments happen in front of me and I wish I had a camera around my neck at all times.

ten little toes

Here I am again! I figured some things about blog world out. I don't claim to know it all yet, but I do now know some things not to do. That is a start. I wanted to re due my last post that disappeared. Here goes...

Baby David
Love those baby toes. I just want to kiss them.
I love that he has the ink from his hospital footprint
still on them. I am a big fan of some parts of the picture in focus and some not look.

I hope to inspire you to take more pictures of your loved ones.
I know how precious pictures can be. With the death of my father, when I was almost six, comes the realisation that life is precious and so are pictures. I cherish every picture I have of my father and wish I had more to remember him by.

I never thought I would forget my children growing up, don't get me wrong, parts of it I do remember, but so may moments have been lost from my aging memory. My photo albums are like gold. If I ever have (another) fire I will grab my photo albums after my children... and my husband... and my mother in law... and my pets. Okay, I think you get the idea those pictures are the memories you remember the best. They are right there in front of you.
So go take some pictures.
